Well another con has come and gone, in this case the last one of the year. It makes me a little sad but what a con it was! Definitely worth it. We saw a lot of people, did a lot of fun stuff, and it was a great con in general. I love big cons but sometimes it is nice to just go to a smaller one.
Anyway, on to the report.
I spent friday at school griping with several people, including

about how much school sucked and how much we couldn't wait. I attempted to help ~
Anime-Manga-Freak into a wig at lunch time, but that kind of failed... It was hilarious.
After school I ditched homework club (something the teachers put you in when you need to catch it, sort of like detention) in order to run over to my old school to pick up J. We then drove off to Crystal City, and boy were we excited when we got there.
The lady at the check in told us that our room wasn't ready yet, so instead she put us in a much larger and spacious room. It had only one king size bed, but the room more than made up for it.

Those don't really do it justice, but it's not like I brought a wide-angle lens with me.
After getting over how big the room was (insert bad joke here) we started to get into cosplay. I struggled into my blue contacs, and wished that the quality of my camera was better.

I don't actually know why my mouth was open.

Me in my Blue cosplay. I hate that wig.
We then trotted off to the Dealer's room. While on our way we ran into

and another friend. I spoted them first so I tried to scare them. It didn't work. Boo.
When we finally got into the Dealer's room I was really thirsty. Thankfully there was a booth that was selling pocky and ramune in almost any flavor you can imagine. A friend who we'd met in the middle of the crowd tipped us in on it.
Of course opening ramune is an art form.

I managed to do it without it exploding! I believe here I am setting down my stiff to open the Ramune bottle in my hand.
J didn't spend anything that day. I of course had to waste all of my money on pins.
After the Dealers Room was the AMV contest. J left early because of the insane ammount of repeats from previous cons. When I got back to the room we proceeded to take silly pictures, watch Rush Hour 3, and bitch about the terrible drinks J had bought. Do not mix Cranberry juice with green tea.

I didn't realize she even took that picture of me

Then... THE RAVE!!!!! One of the best parts of a con. We unfortunately had to wait in line to get in, something that has never happened to me before. We saw

in line. Then he scared the shit out of me by jumping out from the entrance at us. Every time I saw him later I would scream much to the delight of J who thought it was hilarious.
Around 2 or so we got bored and went to the gaming room. I finally got up the courage to play Brawl and GUESS WHAT? I DIDN'T DIE FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a miracle.
After passing out we woke up on Saturday Morning. We needed some form of breakfast besides ramen and pocky, so we hightailed it to Starbucks in our meant for summer cosplays. It was FREEZING. After drinking more than our share of hot chocolate we put on the finishing touches of our cosplay.

I patched up J's Jolteon cosplay
And it was back to the Dealer's Room! Or at least as well as we could move while getting many picture requests.

Bulbasaur!

More pokemanz!

Kind of blurry, but that's an Umbreon we ran into, who was going the opposite way as us on the escalator. She ran all the way back down just for a picture with us.

Then J found an adorable hat and had to buy it.

Tres awesome.
Then it was the Pokemon gathering! It was a small turnout probably due to confusion, but fun nonetheless.

They then proceeded to have a battle.

On our way to the Artist's Alley we ran into an awesome Dragonair.
After getting magnets of ourselves (Eevee and Jolteon) from a lovely artist at the gathering (I'm sorry, I don't remember your name!

) we were dying of hunger. So we said screw it and went to McDonalds. A million other con-goers were there as well. I'm sure we entertained the staff quite a bit.
Then we went back to the Dealer's Room

I bought my daily dose of Ramune of course and we both spent WAAAAY too much money for a Saturday. Note to self: wait to spend money until Sunday. At least the purchases were nice.

We ran into a Digimon! I'm not a fan but J knows most of them. I think I am getting tired here.
We began to crash so we went up to the room to get out of cosplay before the masquerade.

My favorite shirt.
While waiting in line we somehow or another wound up in the conversation of the people next to us. They scarred me by teling me to imagine a yaoi pairing of Ronald McDonald and the Burger King. THE IMAGES. THEY WILL NOT GO AWAY.

Once inside we ran into

Masquerade was good, but shorten than expected. Before it started there was a moment where the tech crew played the Glee version of "Don't Stop Believing" and everyone began to sway their arms back and forth... it was pretty epic.
The Steam Punk fashion show was pretty cool too.

My camera is terrible but that's the ending group shot.

Yay! We found a Leia!

And Ciel!

And of course being the Hetalia fan that I am I had to ambush the Chibitalia group. Poor Italy was very gender confused.
Then one of the best things from the con happened. We heard about a Yu-Gi-Oh abridged panel that had sprung up at the last second. I freaked out and ran off to find it. We got there about halfway through, but in time for the character Q & A session. Little Kuriboh was not there himself but he was on Skype or something, so we could hear him and he could hear us. There were some really awesome moments there. That panel was just amazing!
The next day we had to check out be 11.

Of course, all we ended up doing was shop. Alas, goodbye money.
Before we left though I still managed to get a shot of an awesome Yuko cosplayer.

And then we left. It was very sad. Why must cons here be three days! Must. Go. To. West. Coast. Con.
Well, Katsucon is up next, and then possibly Otakon, since my trip to Japan comes back three days before the start. I am now signing out.
